Well, for me it’s the wood pieces used to trim out windows, doors, and the area between the walls and floors, known as base. Yes, there are other facets to this work as well but these are the main things involved. I specialize in interior trim and I really love to do this work. I take great pride in creating tight joints that will last the test of time. I glue, screw, and use joinery methods, such as biscuits or mortise and tenon that will hold together. When I set up to do interior trim I pack in a full shop of tools. Precise measuring, cutting and fitting of all the parts puts a smile on my face, every day. When I am done and look at the trimmed window, or door, I get a great sense of pride and you will have a trim job to cherish for as long as you own your home.
